Bring selected Google Drive files into review
Shared storage is often where the contract collection begins. Google Drive integration gives the contract team a controlled path from selected files into ContraxAware’s import and review process, rather than asking everyone to manually reconstruct the record.
An owner or administrator connects Google Drive and selects the incoming folder. Supported PDF, Word, and Google Docs files enter the established import workflow. Google Docs are captured as fixed PDF snapshots with a link to the source. Review the proposed details before using them for ongoing contract management.
02
Keep the source and the managed record distinct
An imported agreement should not change silently because someone edits a file elsewhere. The Drive connection uses an import-and-export model. It is not a live document editor or a two-way replacement of contract records.
Changed source documents are flagged for a deliberate import decision. Source deletion or revoked access does not delete the saved contract. When configured, eligible completed built-in signing requests can export a signed PDF to a selected Drive folder. Check connection settings and current eligibility before relying on automatic processing.
03
Keep correspondence close to the agreement
Contract discussions can otherwise remain in a person’s inbox long after the document is saved. Connect Gmail to handle contract correspondence from the workspace and keep relevant communication close to the work it explains.
Use the established sending and review controls. A contract decision recorded in the application is different from a notice that has actually been delivered. When the agreement requires formal communication, follow the contractual method and keep the evidence of what was sent.
04
Use Google Calendar for chosen contract dates
The contract record holds the terms and responsibility; a calendar helps people plan their time. Send selected contract dates to Google Calendar so the event points back to the agreement and its context.
Drive, Gmail, and Calendar connections have their own setup and authorization requirements. This is not a claim that every field or calendar event synchronizes in both directions. Start with a dedicated test folder and a selected date, confirm the result, and then expand the connection to fit your process.
